How it works

Two paths out of the same camera.

One path runs in the vehicle and reaches the cab in the moment. The other runs in the cloud once the day is offloaded at base, and reaches the monitoring and control center with the complete record. Same cameras, two clocks.

Equipped

Every vehicle carries a road-facing camera, a cab-facing camera, and a mobile recorder. Recording opens with the ignition.

The route

The drive to the work order is recorded end to end, both channels running, from the yard to the site.

On site

The crew parks and sets a portable camera facing the work. It records the service from start to finish, then goes back in the vehicle for the next call.

Back at base

The vehicle enters the yard and the day's footage offloads on its own. No memory cards to pull, and no one to remember.

Cloud and platform

The models process the footage and the alerts land in the web platform, where the monitoring and control center works them with the clip attached.

In the vehicle, in the moment

Belt, phone, and drowsiness are read by the recorder as the drive happens. The alert sounds in the cab without waiting for the base, because the correction has to happen on the road.

The full footage is processed once it lands, so the operation reviews the complete day. The monitoring and control center sees each alert next to the clip that produced it.

The offload

The whole day comes home with the vehicle.

Video is heavy. Moving every hour of it over cellular, from every vehicle, every day, is a cost that grows with the fleet. Qonyx SV keeps the full day on the recorder and transfers it when the vehicle reaches the yard, over the base's own link. Nothing is sampled, and nobody handles a memory card.

Follow a crew from the yard to the job and back. The recorder opens with the ignition, the cab is told the moment something needs correcting, and every clip lands next to the alert that produced it.

The recorder rides in the vehicle and checks itself before the crew rolls.

Each vehicle carries a mobile recorder wired to two cameras: one facing the road, one facing the cab. At power-up the unit runs a self-check, confirms storage and position, and opens the trip. Recording does not depend on anyone remembering to press a button.

A missing seat belt is a chime in the cab, not a line in a report.

The cab-facing channel reads the strap as the vehicle starts moving. If it is not across the chest, the unit speaks up inside the cab within seconds. The correction happens on the road, and the event is filed with the clip that shows it.

The alert lands where it can still change the next second.

A phone in the driver's hand is flagged in the cab, in real time when there is coverage. The record is kept by event and by route, so the operation can see where distraction concentrates and act on the route, the schedule, or the training. It measures the operation, not the person.

09:30 · Long haul

Drowsiness reaches the cab first, while the driver can still pull over.

Eye closure and head drop are read continuously on the cab-facing channel. The first alert is audible inside the vehicle, in the same second: it reaches the driver and asks for a stop. The supervisor is notified after that, so support can reach the crew and the route can be replanned.

The crew sets a camera on the job, and the work is on the record.

When the team arrives, a portable camera is positioned facing the work area. It records the service from start to finish, and the same models read PPE in the frame. What was done, in what conditions, becomes evidence instead of recollection.

A climb without fall protection is flagged from the ground.

The site camera reads the ladder, the pole, and the person on it. When the climb starts with no lanyard anchored, the alert sounds on site, where someone can still stop it. The event is filed as a work-at-height non-conformity, and it joins the base of the pyramid the model reads.

17:00 · Back office

Every clip lands next to the alert that produced it.

The web platform holds footage and alerts together: filter by event type, by route, or by day, open the clip attached to an alert, and follow what was done about it. Trends read at the route level, and the decision to act stays with the supervisor.

Worker imagery is treated as biometric data, by design.

The cab is told first

Every in-vehicle detection reaches the driver before it reaches anyone else. The point of the alert is the correction, and the correction only happens inside the cab.

By event and by route

Alerts are grouped by event type, route, and day. Qonyx does not rank drivers and does not produce a per-person score. Risk reads at the route and the task.

Purpose-bound retention

Footage is retained for the safety purpose it was collected for, with consent handled up front and access limited to the people responsible for acting on it.
